Introduction
Codage d.o.o. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” and “our”) is an organisation that values privacy. As such, we have a duty of care towards the people whose data is held in our records.
This Privacy Policy explains how Codage collects, uses, processes or otherwise handles information, including information that personally identifies you (“Personal Information”), and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of such information when using our website. By using this website, you consent to the use of such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Our policy complies with Croatian law as implemented in accordance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The information we collect
In some cases, we may collect personal information about you for the following purposes:
Job applications
If you send us information in connection with a job vacancy, we will use that personal information solely in connection with the vacancy you are applying for. In that case, we will ask at a minimum for your name, contact number and email address. You may optionally also provide us with: your area of interest, LinkedIn URL and CV.
We will contact you on the contact number or email address you provide, and further information will be sent by email unless you state otherwise.
However, if you wish, we can keep your application and personal information for up to five years, in case we decide to contact you at a later date should something interesting come up. You can change this by sending an email to [email protected]
Accordingly, if we employ you, we will collect information about you and your work from time to time throughout your employment. This information will be used only for purposes directly related to your employment. After your employment ends, we will keep your files for as long as the law requires.
Contacting us (general enquiries, business, sponsorship, media...)
This website may collect content that you provide, including but not limited to your CV (and all data within it), posts on any blogs, forums, wikis and other social media applications and services that we may provide.
We do not normally request sensitive information (e.g. data about racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, criminal record, physical or mental health, or sexual orientation) from visitors, and visitors are prohibited from posting or sending such data.
In general, when you contact us, whether by telephone, through our website or by email, we collect the data you have given us in order to reply with the information you need.
We record your enquiry and our response in order to increase the efficiency of our business. We keep personally identifiable information associated with your message, such as your name and email address, in order to track our communication with you and to provide a high-quality service.
If you choose to contact us via the contact form on our website, the data you provide will be stored on this website and compiled into an email that will be sent to us using the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (also known as SSL), which means the email is sent over an encrypted connection using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography, and is sent by a secure server operated by MailJet.
Information obtained through web forms or directly by email may be retained for as long as necessary, but no longer than five years.
Personal data and sensitive personal data will be stored, processed, used and disclosed in the following ways
- Providing our recruitment services to you, whether you are a client, a candidate or a user of our website.
- Enabling you to submit your CV, apply for specific jobs or update your work preferences.
- Maintaining our business relationship, where you are a user of our website, a client or a candidate.
- Providing information about suitable job opportunities to people who register with us, so that we can match your profile with suitable vacancies and help us find the position that suits you best.
- Responding to your enquiry.

Disclosure of information to third parties
Although we do not disclose your personal information to any third party (except as set out in this policy), we sometimes receive data that is indirectly compiled from your personal information from third parties whose services we use.
Personal information may also be disclosed to judicial, regulatory or other government agencies, or to other third parties, in each case in order to comply with legal or regulatory obligations or requirements.
Google reCAPTCHA
To protect the contact form against abuse, we use the Google reCAPTCHA v3 service (provided by Google Ireland Limited). As part of this check, certain data may be transmitted to Google, for example your IP address and information about your interaction with the page, which may be processed outside the European Economic Area subject to appropriate safeguards. We use this data solely for the security assessment, not for advertising.

Access to information
In accordance with applicable data protection legislation, all website visitors may exercise their rights to access, rectify and erase their personal data, the right to restrict the processing of their personal information, and the right to data portability. You may also, on legitimate grounds, object to the processing of your personal data. You can exercise these rights at any time by sending us proof of identity.

In accordance with applicable data protection legislation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Retention of information
Your personal information will not be retained for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purpose set out in this policy and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
In this respect, the information processed is retained solely in order to perform the requested service.
In addition, we are likely to retain your personal information in anonymised form for the purpose of producing statistical studies.
Log information and cookie information are retained for a maximum of five years, unless you choose otherwise.
Information security
We have reasonable commercial standards of technology in place and implement technical and organisational security measures to protect all information that visitors provide through this website against unauthorised access to, disclosure, alteration or destruction of the information provided. We regularly update and test our security technology and apply technology that meets the highest security standards. To maintain security, we grant access to personal data only to authorised employees, provide ongoing GDPR training to all employees, and take appropriate measures to enforce employee accountability for privacy.
Changes to our Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may change from time to time in line with legislation or industry developments. We will not notify our clients or website users of these changes explicitly. Instead, we recommend that you check this page periodically for any changes to the policy. When we make changes to this Policy, we will amend the revision date at the top of this page.
